Considering I'm on my third period in a month and a half, I feel your pain. Periods suck.

Oh wow, that really sucks :((( I'm lucky that my periods are pretty regular, but often on the first day(s) I get cramps and diarrhea.
Periods are the worst.

Yup. It really does. I (probably) have endomitriosis, and my system is really out of wack right now. My cramps can be bad enough that I can't get out of bed, so it is really interfering with my life at the moment. Which was what the surgery is supposed to be for. Only the doctor wants to do tests that when I had my appointment she said wouldn't work for me? I don't know.

I hope it does help, that's awful. The cherry on the cake is when you get people who don't believe it's "that bad" and just ugh. Shut up.
My cramps are usually not as bad as yours, but I've had once or twice when I just couldn't function.
...like now. I'm not groaning in bed, but I'm also not doing very well on the concentration thing and it's bad because I need to study :c

Yup, the "just cramps" thing. I hate that. I went to the ER one time because I was in so much pain I could barely move and I was crying and painkillers weren't touching it. When they didn't find anything, I got told off for wasting their time because it was probably just my period. Ugh. What it is wasn't the point. When the pain is that bad an ER trip is perfectly reasonable. My school nurse sent me because she was worried I might have a clot.

I'm lucky that while my mom's a doctor, her cramps used to be bad enough to keep her in bed and vomiting and everything - so she is definitely sympathetic, and when my sister was having issues with her period, my mom made sure it got taken care of properly.
People really don't get how iffy the painkillers can be. Some painkillers just do diddly squat, it's amazing. I don't know what is with period pain, but even if I take something strong, if I don't get it early enough I have to wait for the first "wave" of pain to subside, and the best the painkillers do is prevent the next one.

The doctor at least did prescribe me a narcotic. The problem is I'm studying for the bar, so I can really only take it at night. And plus I don't really want to be taking it that much. The original plan was for surgery in early March, so it wouldn't have been too much. Now, though, if I keep having pain, I'm not sure what I'm going to do because I really don't want to get addicted.

I remember your post about the surgery. I didn't really know what it was about at the time, but now I understand better why it's such an issue :X
You're really stuck in a tough position... I have no advice, but I hope things work out for the best somehow! Sending positive thoughts your way.

That's horrible. I have a friend with endometriosis and when she finally was able to go to the doctor he asked why she didn't get it taken care of sooner. Because everybody said it was normal and "just cramps." I really hope you can find a solution.

Yikes. Oh, my god, that would suck so much. I'm sorry you have to deal with that.
