(Anonymous) 2016-02-16 03:30 pm (UTC)(link)Good points! I've never read Ayn Rand actually but like any philosopher whose work is condensed to a few soundbites and buzzwords, I'm sure folks who actually know her work are frustrated by that oversimplified portrayal of her.
Nietzsche especially was such a mass of contradictions. He perverted biblical rhetoric in his published work to serve his philosophic goals, but in letters to religious friends he would use straight biblical quotes to connect with them. Surprise, he was a human being!!
