On the one hand, I agree, but on the other, some of the things Grim Fandago wanted me to do drove me nuts. I should go back and finish it at some point...

Anyway, I think indie games seem like they may be a better bet than AAA titles when it comes to wacky/more light-hearted stuff.

Grim Fandango, hell yeah!

I miss when these kind of games were around and still being made. Thank the video game gods for re-releases.

It's definitely the greatest game ever made. I'm sort of glad they didn't milk it for sequels though, because it feels very self-contained and satisfying in its resolution. It generated a sense of epicness that very few games manage, with the four-year span and obvious character progression.

I could handle seeing another game set in the same world though. I could even deal with Glottis reappearing, as long as Manny and Meche get to enjoy their happy ending undisturbed. They earned it.
