Amen. This would be one of my favorite secrets ever were it not for the "OMG TERRAHISTS!" element.

Although I do think that the secret is wankbait, I don't think that was the objective. Given the fact that it's about women beating up men who like to subjugate women, it's a safe bet that was actually what the OP was getting at. Not "OMG TERRAHISTS", but "OMG MILITANT MISOGYNISTS". That's what I got from it, anyway.

The secret wasn't about Cid/Vincent, but...

You're making a lot of assumptions. Just because I support the pairing doesn't mean I do it blindly. I'm well aware of the Lucrecia factor and the strength of a crippling guilt complex, believe me. However, I believe that Vincent is strong enough to eventually overcome his demons, especially after the closure provided by killing Hojo. Saying he'd jump straight out of the coffin and shack up with ANYONE would be EXTREMELY stupid. So too, though, would be saying that there isn't a possibility for him to change over time. Trapping him into an ANGSTANGSTANGSTANGST persona for as long as he lives is unfair, as well as ridiculous when character growth is taken into effect.

Point is, this isn't (just) a "hawtness" pairing for me. I've observed it for years and taken psychology into account. I wouldn't still support it if I hadn't. I'm sorry if I came across as having done anything else.

As a side note, trying to make my case without being intimidated by your Integral icon is almost physically painful. The natural instinct is to cower in polite submission.
