16. And after eight years, you still don't get it.

49. Oh, yes. He'd be perfectly right. After all, that's exactly what Phoenix did to him when he betrayed their principles. 9_9

So much word <3

If Edgeworth hated Phoenix for doing something good? Then bloody hell, I've liked the wrong character. Why do you do this, fandom. ):

To play devil's advocate here:

Phoenix and Edgey didn't have a collective set of shared principles prior to the first game. they hadn't spoken in 15 years.

Whereas 1-4 on established this rappapo... port... agreement between them on the nature of truth, justice, and the american way and the courtroom/law.

So it's not completely the same, no. But you make a very good point, which is why I can't entirely agree with the secret poster there XD

On the other hand, Phoenix forgave Edgeworth for basically trying to kill him. So it evens out.

I, er. Sorry to interrupt, and I'll leave again after this is cleared up, but...what? At which point did Edgeworth basically try to kill Phoenix?

I'm referring to 1.2. Don't forget that the death penalty is used in murder cases. When Edgeworth tells him that he doesn't know or care whether he's innocent or guilty, it's his job as a prosecutor to convict him no matter what... Yeah. That's a lot colder when you remember what's at stake.

Re: 16, 49

[identity profile] mysticnocturne.livejournal.com 2008-03-06 03:15 am (UTC)(link)
Oh, right! I completely forgot that Phoenix was the defendant in that case for a while. It was an honest question, so thanks for clearing it up. I was concerned I'd missed something huge for a minute there. D:

I'm assuming it's 1-2, where Phoenix is eventually put on the stand and Edgeworth has no qualms about finding him guilty (thus, the death penalty).

Er, posted this before I saw the response above. Nevermind.
