I wasn't sure I'd like him either, but after playing the game and seeing that there was little of him that really changed from the guy we all loved in the first three games, I loved him all over again. I was just relieved to see that he wasn't a bitter, angry abandoned jerk as I've seen some fans believe he would be.

Haha, amusingly enough, from all the gag comics-- I thought that Edgeworth was actually the one who sent him those DVDs, being a Steel Samurai fan and all. And yes, completely with you there. Of course, I'm open to a lot of possibilities, but it's nice to think that his friends were there with him. Might even explain his mysterious disappearances through the game.

Yeah, I think the initial overreaction turned me off quite a bit, because I thought that he'd end up, like you said, a bitter, angry abandoned jerk. Most of the fans talking about the fourth game seemed along those lines, too, so I was quite pleasantly surprised to find out that Phoenix hadn't changed much at all.

I like to think that's where he was during his disappearances. I find it quite nice that the player doesn't see every aspect of Phoenix's life and isn't told what he's up to, because it's not really Phoenix's story anymore. That said, I'd still like to see his role in the fifth game diminished even more, maybe nothing more than a cameo or two, because the transition has been made, and Phoenix's story is over. He deserves a break.

Haha, well the only thing that kept me from believing that was well-- he's Phoenix Wright, and not only does he have a daughter right now, he's still -him- and that would be like retconning his entire personality as we knew it. It was such a relief to see I wasn't wrong.

And so much WORD. Though a part of me still likes to think of this as an AU, it's still a nice addition to the story and honestly, I'll be more than glad to have no Phoenix in the next AJ game. It's Apollo's story now. Just like you said, a cameo or two or even Apollo running into some of Phoenix's old friends would be awesome. Ihopetheydoit ;;

Not to interrupt, but I wanted to say I agree. Also, have you seen the Larry in GS4? If you look at the Sunshine Coliseum, you can see him on the lawn :D

Phoenix doesn't mention him as far as I know, but hey, he made it in!
