Re: Why would anyone not a racist, classist xenophobe vote for Donald Trump?
Individual character really does matter, it's not simply whether they have the right beliefs or not. Look at Blagojevich for instance. He had the right ideals, but he was shockingly corrupt.

(Anonymous) 2016-02-19 01:42 am (UTC)(link)I can see why people would think that about Hillary, but how much would that ambition matter once she's president? POTUS is the highest political office she could possibly get, and the one she's been working towards all her career. Once she's elected she doesn't have to care about making alliances that will help her advance, she's already at the top.
Re: Why would anyone not a racist, classist xenophobe vote for Donald Trump?
(Anonymous) 2016-02-19 01:59 am (UTC)(link)Now, unlike Blitzwing, I think Hillary does believe in a few things.
But I could also see her being tempted to start a war with Iran for a quiet promise from the oil tycoons of, say, $800 million dollars to the Clinton Foundation after she's out of office. (And given her past behavior, she might be cheaper than that!)
We've seen on health insurance and on Wall Street that Hillary has a price. She can be bought. She's a danger to herself, and to us if we elect her.
