*Shrug* Ever since I saw an Oprah story about "the world's first pregnant man" I've kind of had a thing for FtM pregnancy. That real couple was fine with doing it and I don't think we're only allowed to enjoy or write fiction about individuals if it conforms to the perceived majority of a group.

Eh, you can *shrug* all you'd like but that trope needs to be treated very carefully because it is in fact kind of gross to make FtM guys the object of your babymaking machine desires simply because they provide an easy alternative to "magic butt babies" or whatever. It's fine to fantasize, but this is something that should not be pushed as in any way relative to the average trans male experience. Also lol at "perceived" majority. If you don't think the overwhelming majority of trans men would be dysphoric as fuck while pregnant you're living in a fantasy world. There's a reason why you don't see an explosion of "pregnant men" and why the guy you're thinking of caused such a hubbub. There are a ton of issues with taking T + pregnancy too, and going off of T to get pregnant can cause some trans guys to be suicidal.

So, are you nominating yourself to be the judge of whether someone was "very careful" enough in their writing?

No, I'm hoping the people who are writing these stories aren't total fools. It's pretty fucking obvious to me when someone is just fetishizing the fuck out of trans men. At that point just make your character a magical cunt boy and leave the real life struggles of trans guys out of it.

Ok, so you know how a lot of cis women freak out about the constant society pressure to pop out kids? And how there's a whole childfree movement trying to change how badly all the "Being a MOTHER is your highest calling. It is your destiny. Your biological clock! You don't like kids? What's WRONG with you?! Natural nurturing spirit. Girls play mommy with baby dolls, boys play fireman. You'll change your mind WHEN you have your own. The Bible says. Religion says. Earth mother. Biology says. Science says...."

Now picture that being applied to someone already unhappy about being misgendered because they're not a lady.

Yeah. A lot of trans dudes freak the fuck out about the idea.

Having a fetish is ok, but understand that if you have an amputation fetish real life people with amputations are probably going to side-eye you sometimes and wonder if you're going to be creepy towards them. Having a fetish for pregnant trans dudes is the same way.
