Well... guess I can finally quit watching this show now that they've done a 180 on ALL the female characters.

Yeah, I stopped watching during the whole Amy/Sheldon "OMG wedding ring" thing. I can't stand Amy, and I despise Sheldon.

I experienced a little disconnect from reality when I realized that by "pretty guy" you meant Sheldon?

DA Did you miss her intro episode? The whole joke of her was that she was essentially a female Sheldon, and she was not interested in dating.

The way the writers wrote Amy in her initial episode versus when they decided to keep her as a regular is like two different people.

I always got the impression that Sheldon is/was that way because he wanted to, whereas Amy was that way out of a self-defense to not be picked on. On their first date, Amy talked about how she signed up for an experiment for simulating orgasms and she did it over 100 times because she liked it.
