This right here is the main problem with literally everything in this comm:

"I am ____, and this doesn't offend me" (implied: Therefore it shouldn't offend you.)

What I'm saying is that it comes across like people are getting offended on my behalf when really they're engaging in harmful behavior to do so. By claiming that Sheldon has somehow changed sexuality because he slept with Amy, they're also claiming that any asexual person who has sex even one time can no longer be considered asexual. And that's, as I said, a harmful viewpoint with real-life repercussions.

Do you get it?

Did you ever stop to consider that just maybe people are getting offended because they, actually, are offended?

And consider that they are talking about Sheldon Cooper as he has been presented in fiction. Not every asexual ever.

But they're getting offended over something that didn't happen. Yes, he and Amy had sex. But that doesn't mean that they negated his sexuality or that he's no longer ace. To say those things DOES affect others.
