I will say this. It has really pissed me off that a city next to mine successfully lobbied to have a planned Wal-Mart rejected from within their city limits because it would 'disrupt traffic' and they 'don't like big box stores.' They have no problem however driving over to MY city and disrupting OUR traffic to be able to shop at the icky ol' Wal-Mart, and they gave not one single shit for traffic or big box stores when it came to the prospect of having a beloved whole foods come to town. I think the Wal-Mart should fucking card at the door and anyone from that zip code should be shown the door if they think they're too good to live next to a Wal-Mart.
