F!S Anon Meme (the ??th!)

Secrets, rants, opinions, anything you want to say about your fandom or a fandom or fandom in general, do it here! Anonymously, of course. Get it all off your chest.

Some ground rules:
1. Going anon is encouraged but not absolutely required (for those who struggle with captchas and stuff).
2. No autoplaying/autolooping embeds, or embeds that cover/stretch the screen.
3. No dropping personal info or IRL contact info, etc.

That's about it, though!

I'll be linking some general/general-fandom threads I see so people don't repost new threads with the same stuff. If you want me to link your thread up here, drop a link in the first comment!

List of threads:

Your diehard fandoms

Topics you wish FS would stop wanking about

I'd heard that too and I'm a little 'eh' on it. But I'm one of those Spiderman fans that liked seeing him grow up and learn how to balance an adult life with his superhero one(at least until the comics trashed that because Peter can't have nice things).

Yes! She'll make an excellent villain if it's true and I am looking forward to that.

In the comics she is sort of Loki's kid but also not at the same time, it's very complicated and weird and honestly is way too convoluted for the movies so I would be completely fine with her being a fallen Aseir or something else entirely with no relation to Loki.

Ooooh, Oooh I like that. I was curious to see if they'd do the whole 'in love with Death' thing that Thanos has but if they use Hela for that instead, it could work.

I'm curious, have you read much of the Thor comics? I've been tempted to try them. I really enjoyed the movies (animated and live action) and I love norse mythology (but I know the comics are different to both). Are there any good story runs to look for or good places to start? I'm more curious about the worldbuilding of Asgard and the other Asgardians rather than Thor on earth but I'm sure I'd enjoy anything.

I've read some of them, not all though and I've not been keeping up with the recent goings on because frankly I'm waiting for this Secret Wars thing to be over.

But I'm generally a fan of Walt Simonson's Thor run, they're older comics so the art isn't as polished as the newer ones and some of the plots are a bit cheese-tastic, but overall they're fun and do a good job with him.

For more recent stuff I'll link you to this JiM rec list:

They have a much more comprehensive list and I've enjoyed the ones I have read on here.

Thank you! I'll look into these. :)
