Thanks for the recs.

I love "I am Death Become" too. It's one of my favorite >5000 word fic in any fandom. "A Little Competition" is fun because each ghost story really fits the character telling it.

I read "We Are Salmon In the Stream, After Years at Sea" the week it was posted. That was a fun comment war to read. The part of me that enjoys dark humor was impressed with how misleadingly they used the fluff tag.

If you liked that sort of horror, you might like "The Spirit Child" by velvet-mace. http://velvet-mace.livejournal.com/330064.html

you_light_the_sky has undated it since I last time I looked, so maybe there is hope for it being completed.

Oops. I meant <5000 words.

I'm interested in reading The Spirit Child, but can you tell me if John and/or Sherlock die, or suffer some other kind of horrifying fate worse than death? I need to be prepared for that sort of thing before I read it, or it will ruin me. Also, is there body horror?

Lol, yeah. The whole thing pissed me off for a while, seeing as I didn't sleep at all for two nights after I read that fic and I never would have subjected myself to it had there been proper warnings. But once I got past the 'can't sleep' phase, it did take on a kind of amusing edge. I mean, talk about a creative way to start wank. For the record, none of the pissed off comments in the comments section were mine. :P
