32. I once made a post on fanficrants on how wrong I thought incest was, and people went COMPLETELY crazy on me. Like.... how dare I not tolerate incest O.o Now it's a rule that you can't argue about it.

How is it that people can so horribly misunderstand the purpose fanficrants? I don't suppose you were ranting about poor grammar in incest fics, or poor characterization in incest fics, or overall poor writing in incest fics. You were just complaining about the incest?

Because, yeah, that's not what fanficrants is about. But, more than that, just like you have a right to express your opinion, other members have the right to bash your opinion.

I honestly can't even remember what "part" of incest I was complaining about. It was quite awhile back.

I think it was the fact that I could only find a particular pairing in a particular fandom, and it was incest to boot. So I ranted about that, and people went nuts. It wasn't about incest in general, and I wasn't looking to cause trouble/offend anyone.

Lesson learned. I will never bring it up again.
