I love cross-media in-jokes. Like the way "451" keeps popping up as a door code in certain games.

Indirectly. It was actually the office door code for Looking Glass Studios, and it was a reference to the book. When they made System Shock 1, they stuck it in there as the first door code you have to use to get out of the opening area. System Shock 2 would repeat the code as a reference to SS1, Deus Ex would repeat the code as a reference to SS2, and it just kinda took off from there. I've seen it in Transistor, even. I love it, it's like a secret handshake.
