I've only played Red/Blue... and X/Y. I have no idea what generation this is lol but unfortunately I think it'd be weird to go backwards at this point.

I dunno, the core pokemon gameplay hasn't really changed so you could easily go backwards if you wanted. X/Y's graphical overhaul and pokemon amie weren't really revolutionary to the series, though I can see how you'd feel otherwise if those are the only two games you've played lmao.

5th gen is one of my favorites gens. It definitely would've been interesting to have seen R/S remakes then. At least there wouldn't have been megas... tbh I don't really like them.

Though I'll be real, I wasn't excited at the prospect of Ruby/Sapphire being remade at all. I loved the shit out of 1st/2nd gen and 3rd was the first time I felt pretty "meh" about a gen. I would've been fine if they hadn't been remade.

Man, I definitely felt this way when 5th gen was going on, and they missed the opportunity, and I would have played the hell out of it. (I mean I was pretty excited for it anyway, but still.) I do like the graphics update in Gen VI BUT Gen V is one of my favorite gens overall, and I'd definitely rate it over Gen VI in general.

BW2 seems like it has the most acclaimed post game content, though it's not like gen VI games were going to give any competition in that regard. :^\

I liked BW2 but hated BW, so im mixed on that generation as a whole.
