The only thing I ever wrote to get any degree of popularity is frequently plagarized (when I see it, I email/message the culprit and give them a chance to take it down before reporting them) and forwarded without credit. At first I found it amusing and flattering but it gets really depressing - I'd mind less if anything else I'd written got a tenth as much love.
