Coolest is Tokyo, but most beautiful is Loch Lomond in Scotland. It was freezing when I went there but I stayed all day and could have stayed longer, it was so pretty.

I'll be cliche and say Paris is even more lovely than people describe.

Drumheller. There are dinosaur statues on every street - when I went there, there was even a grocery store that had a sculpture of a dinosaur's head bursting out of the side of the building. And the hills surrounding the town are gorgeous, especially when viewed up close.

Also, the Royal Tyrell Museum = PURE AWESOME.

Most beautiful? Probably Dragon Falls out somewhere near Nikko in Japan. I went there on a school trip and it's stuck with me all these years.

I really enjoyed taking a dinner cruise down the Danube in Budapest and the buildings were all lit up.

Mt Fuji at the Shibazakura - basically, when there's an explosion of pink flowers surrounding Mt Fuji.

Scottish Highlands

Grand Canyon

Lake Louise in Banff, Canada

...I dunno, hard to pick a most beautiful spot!

It's hard to choose since I have been to some very beautiful places, but either:

Carmanah Walbran park

Matsushima, the Japanese pine islands

The Galapagos Islands

Mt. Fuji

Kalahari Desert. Not cool by any stretch of the imagination, but austerely beautiful, and full of life if you know how to look for it. Also, cheetahs!

I haven't been to many places (lack of money/vacation days), but I went to a place in Mexico that had really beautiful cliffs. Some of them were white, others were red, and there were a few that were kinda purple-y white and gold.

Grand Canyon, which makes you feel really insignificant as a person. India, which is just so amazing as a place. Rome, because it's like every stone you touch has history.

Statue of Liberty, NY. I'm not an American nor do I want to be.

But I was in NY last year with friends and it was literally the last thing we were going to do before we had to go pack our bags and head home. So I'd already spent several (exhausting) days in NY, combined with a lifetime of pop culture influences. It was also an incredibly beautiful day: clear blue skies, warm and sunny. So I was taking it all in, the park, the river, the flag waving in the air, the Statue itself. All the while the little audio guide walkman thing kept talking about what it meant to people. I almost cried.

I got a keychain at the giftshop. I couldn't help it. I knew there were probably cheaper and prettier ones all over NY, but...It was worth it though, I still think back to this every time I take out my keys.

Clear Lake, OR. It's got a petrified forest in the lake! (Going to always stan for Oregon tbh.)

I can't remember the name exactly, but I was in Hamburg, Germany, and we went out into the country side, and found this neat little farm thing. Hamburg in general, really.

Going to Pulpit Rock in Norway was both cool and beautiful, especially as the skies cleared up when we reached the top. Very rewarding physically too!

It's just amazing. Beautiful jungles, beaches, mountains and nature in general. Really cool local culture. Amazing biodiversity. Yummy food. ALWAYS WARM. GUYS IT NEVER GOES BELOW 60 AND THAT'S ONLY IF YOU'RE IN THE MOUNTAINS

I want to move back there so bad.

Probably a tie between the Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto and Miyajima, off the coast of Hiroshima. Both of them are absolutely gorgeous.

I've only ever traveled within the continental 48 of the U.S., so my experience is limited.

But for coolest? New York City, definitely. So much to do there, so much to see, and I was there in April of 2001, so I got to see the Twin Towers.

Most beautiful? The Colorado Rockies. I lived there for a couple years and my god, what a gorgeous area. Too bad it's so expensive to live there.

California's a beautiful state scenery-wise, too.

New Zealand is one of the most beautiful countries I've ever been to. I'm not sure I can even really narrow it down to one place... Tasman Bay looks like a tropical paradise, the west coast of the South island was gorgeous, Milford Sound amazing, the mountains like something off a postcard, the southern tip of the Catlins with their lonely beaches and sleeping seals...

Go if you ever have the chance and if you like nature and beautiful scenery at all, you won't be sorry. Kiwis are some of the nicest people I've ever met.

That country is, like, number one on my, "MUST visit this country" list. I have a friend who's been there and sent me photos and postcards and stuff and it looks like a truly stunningly beautiful place.

I love southern Utah, and there's so much to see in so many national parks there. That being said, one of my favorite places there is Double Arch in Arches NP. You can hike right up underneath the arches, and it's just perfect. Quiet and sheltered and yet in the middle of this beautiful desert landscape. Love it, and it's one of the few places I've been a repeat visitor.

On the more urban side of life, I'd have to pick Paris as the other spectacular destination, if you like history and architecture.

I've never really done much traveling so I'm very envious of the lists everybody has! But the most beautiful plave I've ever visited is the Grand Canyon. Pictures really don't do it justice. It's so big! And there's no real way to take a bad picture when you're up there.
