So people are boycotting Red Lobster because of a Beyonce song that mentions Red Lobster, that Red Lobster has nothing to do with?

There are some people who get offended even by the existence of anything remotely connected to anything even tangentially social justice related.

people are also supporting them though. I heard they made a lot of money the day after the Superbowl.

Dunno what the overall long-term effect is.

Personally I love Red lobster, and don't care very much about Beyonce as an artist. I have no problem with her message and am glad she's doing it if it empowers her and other black individuals, but it's not going to affect my approach to RL.

Actually, Red Lobster saw a 33% sales spike after Beyonce mentioned it in her song.
