Re: Are the Hamilton people still angry about the bootleg?

I kind of agree with you on the Hamilton ticket issues. I live near NYC, so for most of my friends they could go any day IF THEY COULD ONLY GET TICKETS. They try constantly and it's just not happening.

I don't get it (but I'm also not super into Broadway) but it's crazy to expect people to see it when they just honestly can't.

Well, here's the thing.

Some dorks are rich! Or have rich parents.

And some dorks aren't rich but spend their money really, really stupidly.

So yeah, they can't understand why people won't pay for tickets to the most expensive show in one of the nation's most expensive cities.

If it was actually attainable to get these tickets, I'd understand. But this one? Nope. Not worth it.

I don't understand why they don't release the show on video or do a one night only limited theatrical release just so people can see it. People will still want to see the Broadway version, I know it.

There's a theater in London that has an arrangement with different cinema complexes or sth, but a lot of its performances are screened at least once across the UK and parts of Europe. The cinema I frequent often shows live ballet and opera. If they did something like that for Broadway/other West End shows, I know a lot of people would be into it.

I live in Europe and while I'm interested in Hamilton, I tend to prefer seeing the show/movie before listening to the album. The chances of this happening at all are slim if it doesn't come to London or get made into a movie.

If I'm not mistaken I believe Hamilton is opening in London in 2017.
