Both? Like, it's Luke 11 years ABY, so I'm drawing from EU, but I love him in the movies. I actually kind of like that everything's been de-canonized--it lets me pick and choose what I personally consider canon. Like, I think some EU writers (like Zahn and Stover) write Luke very well and others (fuck you KJAAAAAAAAAA) are failboats, so I don't feel like I'm doing wrong if I contradict a certain 'fact'.

My main problem is that most of Luke's interest lies in his contradictions--he's incredibly kind but can be ruthless, very self-assured but very humble--and I worry about leaning too far in one direction or the other.
