She over used imagery in her video. Her imagery tried to hit every black person's buttons. It was clear that she was using those images of real issues to sell records. Yes I know she wasn't the first and won't be the last but still don't act like she is the second coming of Jesus. I am tired of hearing about how this song is some sort of anthem for #BlackLivesMatter and "Brothers and Sisters" everywhere. It's not. It's about some singer cashing on on other people's pain. If she wanted to bring people together then why is she talking about how when her man fucks her right she takes him to red lobster. That is some basic ass shit right there. Maybe it's because I am mixed so I don't get it or the song isn't for me.

because at the end of the day she is raking in cash. you nailed it. and it's shitty to kind of capitalize on real world issues and have everyone kiss her feet for it. like, idk she is still a billionaire, selling records not doing much else.
