Oh, ick. I remember reading about this.

Man takes a girl in and raises her as his own daughter. When girl grows up they get together. Gross.

It's even worse, she basically emotionally blackmails him into getting together.

So... grooming, pedophilia AND Victim-blaming all wrapped into one. With the extra mile of "little girls want sex with older men and older men are victims of society".

And people wonder why I stopped reading manga without searching for spoilers first.

I wasn't even sure if this was the series where the guy fucks his sister or the series where the guy fucks his daughter. Must be the daughter one since he looks older than her, though the sister one inspires a lot more rage from anime fans.

Which sister one?

There's about four well known ones that are onichan/imouto, and that's just where it's outright want to fuck.

I was thinking of this one. You wouldn't believe how much hate I've seen for it.

I actually like Koi Kaze. There's something to be said for approaching your subject matter in the bluntest manner possible.

Looked up spoilers, and... figures. :/

People are ridiculous. I'm no fan of the direction they took the second half of the manga, but it's a damn good series regardless. I prefer the anime and the live action movie, but they end at a nice spot, rather than the 10 year time skip. Even with the is she related/isn't she and the falling for your caretaker thing Japan loves, there's a lot of love there and some serious feels.

It's just that the knowledge of what happens retroactively taints everything that was good about it. Everything takes on an intensely creepy vibe when you know that ten years down the line, those two are porking.

The anime ended there because of the bad reception to the manga ending. Logical conclusion: the manga ending isn't to be assumed future canon in the anime.

It's not that I can't deal with it. It's just not my preference. I don't like watching or reading things about how having sex with underage girls is great, so I don't read or watch Japanese stuff.

But it was so good before it went there!

You're mistaking horror, disgust and dropping it for outrage.

The anime ended before the timeskip precisely due to the intense hatred the ending got. Cultural dissonance only goes so far, because the target audience hated it, too.

Can someone please just drop the name of the anime please?
