I think I have a weakness for (fictional) cute and cuddly guys who try really hard not to show their hearts on their sleeves, and don't always succeed.

Bonus:

In real life, I'm more attracted to short men than tall men, and i can't understand obsession with "tall dark and handsome" in general. (Specific instances differ, but as a general rule? Seriously don't see it.)

I'm not sure I have a type, but I will almost always like characters who seem like hardasses on the outside, but are actually super sweet & kind-hearted.

I'm partial to older men who are employed and sophisticated without being pretentious. I especially fall hard for tall guys, like tall guys. And humor is a must above almost everything else. Basically someone who is put together or is at least putting themselves together.

I used to think I wanted friends with my personality (creative, outgoing but not necessarily partygoing and fond of personal space, etc.) - however, I feel like those types are actually bad for me, because we end up never making plans - if I actually feel like being social and seeing the world, they don't. Or they're done after half an hour.

Or, conversely, my creative friends are really intense people who throw temper tantrums if you disagree with them because you're infringing on their rights or something.

1. Brains that thrive on nerdy, academic stuff and can keep up an in-depth conversation about various areas of study. I need to be able to talk about research and know that the other person isn't just humoring it, but is actually as interested as I am.

2. Creative brains. I need to be able to talk writing or drawing or costuming as much as I need to be able to talk biology/history/psychology/ethology/etc.

Someone with both of those interests/abilities is essential for a long term relationship.

Looks-wise I tend to be attracted to brunette's rather than blondes, no idea why, it just is. This goes for fictional characters as well.

Personality-wise irl I tend to go for sarcastic asses(as I am one myself), but with fictional characters it's a lot more varied. I think it just depends on how they're written and what their story is.

Brunet(te)s with runner's builds who light up when they get passionate about something.

Cuddly guys with facial hair, confident people with shaved heads (this I can link to Picard and Sisko), and women who remind me of Scully.

I'm basically ace, but to the limited extent that I find people attractive, I am very into tall guys. A guy being 6'4" does way more for his attractiveness in my eyes that any other physical thing about him.
