Bruh, what about the sequels for and reboots of properties that milk nostalgia from the Baby Boomer generation? Or films based on cartoons and toys that Generation X grew up with, like Transformers or TMNT?

Look, I'm kind of annoyed at the perceived creative bankruptcy of Hollywood like the next person who is, but that's just the times we live in right now. If nothing else, it's at least a testament to the impact and staying power some of those franchises have had on multiple generations.
