Ugh. I just don't see how that follows. She was having sex with her dad, so clearly she couldn't have been raped by the teens? How does that follow? How does that clear them? If anything it explains the inconsistencies in the story as they were trying to hide the incest while still bringing justice to the rapists.

Why are people acting like these kids are obviously innocent and we totally need to stop believing women because look how we've hurt these five totally innocent guys!

I don't see anything that suggests their innocence.

Snippets of cellphone videos suggested the sex was consensual, prosecutors said.

“She said yeah,” a man’s voice can be heard saying on the video, according to the Times.

The woman admitted that she had consented to the group sex.

“That night, this young woman’s father and the five young men engaged in conduct that was reprehensible and wrong, but because of the lack of reliable evidence, criminal charges simply cannot be sustained,” he said.

“I think that is a way, from a policy and social standpoint, to say, ‘Young men should exercise a little bit better judgment in dealing with certain things,’ but what they did didn’t rise to criminality,”

As with the Central Park Five nearly 30 years ago, the five boys received a flood of death and rape threats before they were cleared of wrongdoing.

The evidence, all of it, indicates that they engaged in consensual sex. That is not illegal. Therefore they are innocent. What do you think words mean?
