The universally-beloved princess disappears, and then the government and the entire country are informed that the princess will be killed unless the Prime Minister fucks a pig on live television within the next 12 hours or so. The timeframe makes it impossible to fake it, and since the presumed terrorists aren't speaking to the government, but to the entire world via the internet, the amount of public pressure makes it impossible to get out of.
