I've seen other people with what you would consider pretty expensive hobbies nearly do the whole comical faint thing when you mention the price of some of these BJDs. And considering the fact that a lot of people have the money to buy a $1500 doll every other month or so, there is a lot of elitism that goes on. I don't begrudge anyone spending money on their hobby, and in fact the more money someone has let's be real, the better their collection often looks and seeing someone talented with money to burn creating stuff is really fun.
But it bothers the fuck out of me when the people with money to burn act like there's some quality or price threshold to be in this hobby. Let people join if they love BJDs, who gives a shit if they can only afford a ResinSoul and do their own "amateur" faceup, it's about them having fun and joining in a hobby they adore, not about showing how much money you've burned on little resin people.
