I admit R/Hr shippers could be assholes to H/Hr shippers, but lol no, there was no equivalent to the rabid Harmonian contingent of fandom. It wasn't anywhere close to an equal-blame situation.

Yes, there were. There were some canon shippers who bashed anyone who dared to ship non-canon ships. Some people even went to the personal journals of H/Hr shippers to stalk them or left nasty reviews on all the fics.

No, post HPB, there were no canon shippers who were bashing characters or insisting that canon was wrong and JKR was wrong for writing R/Hr and H/G. But there were some who made the ship war personal and attacked people for not liking their ships. Or who acted like all H/Hr shippers were like the rabid Harmonains and who insisted that shipping H/Hr was objectively wrong in the same way that some H/Hr shippers were saying canon was wrong.
