The story! (Though it wouldn't surprise me if some people found the ship creepy as well.)The general plot and the content of the smaller "stories" within the episodes get praised as so very scary and I honestly don't see it. I'm not even trying to be edgy, I honestly find it super bland and not creepy at all.

Yeah, I find it not creepy at all.

If you want to try a podcast that I find a bit creepier, try Limetown. I found the narrator more compelling as well!

Oh yes, Limetown was alright! I really like the NoSleep podcast as well, mostly because I love anthologies and I like some of the narrators a lot. The stories can be quite hit-and-miss, and I often don't think they are particularly creepy, but I enjoy it for the greater variety of stories. I often don't have the patience for long running one-big-plot serials.
