I don't mind if they think it's 'best ship ever' if they acknowledge 'actually in real life this would be super skeevy but I like fiction.' I'm even on board with 'I understand they are problematic but in my AU they have a real romance because I like romance.' It's just 'they're not problematic they're perfect for each other!' that I have a problem with.

nayrt but that's my thought exactly.

I don't really care if someone writes a lovey-dovey sugar sweet Snape/Hermoine fic, or is interested in shipping them that way. But if they try to tell me that Snape/Hermoine is a sweet, romantic, totally healthy pairing, that's when I will argue.

Yep. I ship some problematic stuff myself, but when I was young and stupid and went around proclaiming it was all 'so sweet' people made sure to tell me otherwise. And thank god they did or who knows how long it would have taken me to figure it out.
