The only one I really liked was Cold Case, with its use of music and its focus on the victim and the times they were living in. It's really the best antidote to "good old days" nostalgia I've ever seen on TV. They definitely overused scenarios where the victim was killed because they had some damaging information about their killer and decided that it was a good idea to confront that person about it alone and unobserved, and often to start walking away while threatening to tell everybody [dark secret], but otherwise, it was really refreshing and interesting.

I love the episode with the trans man set in the '50s or '60s...Season 5, I think.
