Mac. I wish more games were available for mac. I can't afford a console. I don't want to switch computers just for game play.

Is there really that much of a power difference between a Mac and a PC? I honestly don't know that much about computers other than I like my Macbook Pro. I still have a harddrive on mine as well as several extra GB of memory.

it's not hard drive and memory (although having a lot of that helps!) so much as the CPU, or processor, which is really the thing that handles how much your computer can do at once (it differs from computer to computer but macs tend to come light on processing power.) and also the graphics card, which handles 3d applications including pretty much all games. a lot of apple computers don't have great graphics cards either, sorry to say

I'm not gonna lie, macs are pretty and they work fine and the smooth clean operating system feels really intuitive and natural to a lot of people, but in general, people who DO know a lot about computers don't tend to work with apple ones. they just can't do as much. that said, the Macbook Pro definitely comes stronger than say, the mini or the air, so you should be able to run SOME games on it.

It is more that a lot aren't available on them. Though the one game I really want, Shadows of Mordor, is now availabe on Steam for Mac. So I'm buying that one as soon as I have the money.

can't you port Windows onto a Mac for gaming?

(idk, I don't like Macs but I know some Mac fangirls/boys who have done this for games)
