Kingsman: TW for rape

So someone mentioned this yesterday, but it was far too late doe me to respond.

People think that Eggsy raped Princess Tilde. Am I just too old to keep up with socially correct dogma? Am I just a secret misogynist? Or is that absurd? I don't even see where that could come from.

This is the first time I've seen it put this way, and I don't agree at all. He cheekily asked for a kiss, she offered more. She is obviously into it from what we see at the end of the movie, and it makes no sense that after two hours of literally transforming into a gentleman Eggsy would rape someone.

Then again, I've seen several fic in the fandom where Eggsy goes on honeypot missions and at least one person is watching/listening through the glasses feed, sometimes getting off on it, and never is there any mention of dubious consent because it's an OFC getting tricked.

So my conclusion is: children on tumblr lack jugement. Don't worry about it.

This. I mean, you can definitely find the scene tacky/tasteless/whatever, but calling it rape is borderline offensive imo.

There are a lot of negative things I could say about that scene, but I think it clearly was not rape.

Okay, but Anon said negative. Tacky/cliche doesn't necessarily mean negative, especially if they're implying 'this is awful' not, 'wow that was so cliche, I can't believe they did that'.
