nayrt, and I agree that it's neither healthy nor good. And yet, I don't have a problem with stating the legalities, as far too many people throw around the word 'pedophile' with anything with any age difference they don't like, whether or not it's an accurate use of the word.

Pedophile has nothing to do with legality. If a country has no age of consent, or an age of consent of 9, that doesn't magically make people who have sex with children not pedophiles.

Pedophilia is sexual attraction to someone who is prepubescent. If Hermione is 11, 12, even 13, there's a good chance that's exactly what we're talking about.

Veeeeeery few girls are prepubescent at 13. Though I otherwise agree with you.

Well, "very few" isn't true. Plenty of girls are still 100% prepubescent at that age. I didn't hit puberty until 14 myself.

At any rate, I don't think there's an official line dividing what constitutes pedophilia. If the child is still young and undeveloped, the person attracted to them is basically attracted to child-like characteristics in someone who is a child. After all, some girls get their periods at age nine, and I would still say someone who lusted after them is a pedophile. The term is applicable, anyway, to someone who isn't in adolescence, so for simplicity's sake, at very least an actual teenager.

didn't hit puberty as in, didn't have a period, or NO body changes at all? no new body hair, no growth spurt, no voice change, no breast buds, nothing?

I mean, if a person still basically appears as a child then it'd be pedophilia for an adult to be into them but I guess my understanding is it's pretty uncommon in developed nations for 13yo girls to still be 100% prepubescent. If you're just talking about menarche then yeah that is a lot more varied.
