Do a lot of people think it is weird? I've not seen this. I mean, at least they are not related.

Movie Vision is a combination of JARVIS and the Mind Gem, with bits of Ultron's mind.

It's...kind of a bit weirder than the comics versions, to my mind.

[Edit - Wait...I think I misread your comment, but...I suppose my comment makes sense as a response to what I think you meant now as much as it does to what I thought you meant at first, so... I'll just apologize in case the first bit seems a bit condescending...]

I don't think it is that weird. Vision is still a sentient being with his own personality, interests, and emotions. I mean, all of us are a combination of our nature and nurture.

It's the Mind Gem, mostly, that makes it weird to me.

If it had just been used to awaken him, it wouldn't seem that odd, but it's a part of him, which makes him more like a god than Thor is in this universe.

I think it's the age difference of the actors that bothers some people.

The funny thing is I don't really know anything about the comics, but I kinda low-key shipped them coming out of AoU. I thought I was crack-shipping, not shipping something from comics-canon!

I'd be totally into this if they decided to do it in MCU, though. Doesn't hurt that I'm super into robot/human (or AI/human) ships.

OP

A big part Wanda and Vision's comics history revolves around their relationship, so you can safely say that you do indeed ship comic!canon :)

It would be kind of weird, yet, I would like to see it happen.

Certainly not any weirder than canon Wanda x Pietro.

Considering the ~look they shared at the end of AoU, I'm sure Vision x Wanda will happen.

I don't know if it would be weirder then other ships I've had, but I've never given much thought to it. Have only read bits and pieces of Marvel comics and never even realized they were married!

I'll admit though, I could've shipped Thor/Vision a bit, and I definitely shipped Wanda/Pietro. I'd be open to the possibility of them hooking up, if it was done right.

I love them in the comics. They're adorable. For the most part I like that the movies are a totally separate thing from the comics and that the characters have different relationship dynamics, but eh, this is one area where I'd be totally okay with a comic ship becoming movie canon.

Me too OP!
There needs to be more mainstream robot-human relationships.

I love this ship in the comics(and will forever be sad that they're no longer a thing), but idk about the MCU at this point in time. If they do it right it could work but I wouldn't want the only reason to put them together to be 'it was like this in the comics', I'd want it to make sense in-universe.

Wanda is way too good for that toaster. Especially if it turns out his current wife has Wanda's brainpattens.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-01 03:13 am (UTC)(link)
i loved these two too.... i hate that they're not together!!

It's already been implied, but I would love for them to do something different with her. Whether it is romance or none, I'm not sure.

More than likely they are going to explore their romance though, especially since Vision is so important.

I mean, I'm pretty sure the film had a couple of ~significant shots~ that were alluding to it? So you never know.
