How do they meet? Does that mean Kili survives the Battle of the Five Armies in those fics?

First fic of the series, Kili survives, injured, but Thorin and Fili don't. Kili spends years as a wanderer. The main story is mostly from Boromir's POV and while he's trying to find Rivendell (it is a hidden valley), he goes to sleep in the wrong cave and ends up in Goblin Town, which is where he meets Kili, who is there because Goblins had kidnapped some people.

From the second fic on it gets more complex because it turns into a time-travel story with Boromir going back in time and changing history by joining the Company, and the continuing effects that has right through to a second version of the War of the Ring.

Oh and I will also note, the fics were not romance. That came up in discussion between Valandhir and I and we ended up RPing it.
