Her naivete was irritating, but what really got me was her manipulation of Ben.

Yeah, that really bugged me too. I mean, it would be wrong to say she's responsible for his death - the people who killed him are obviously responsible for that - but even so, her foolhardy actions lead directly to him being killed. And it doesn't really seem like she feels all that responsible or guilty about it.

And yeah, I do kind of get what OP means about her mannerisms. It's not something I really pin pointed when I was watching the show, but the more I think about it, the more I think that some of her mannerisms do kind of add the the overall annoyance I feel towards her character.

Yeah, this! I wish we could have seen her reaction to that, the guilt and doubt eating at her. But it was mostly subsumed by the, uh, incident with Wesley.
