(Anonymous) 2016-03-05 12:50 am (UTC)(link)Age difference romance is totally my bag too, even when it becomes a little "creepy" because the gap is so wide. One of my absolute favourite short stories by Naono Bohra is the one where she totally goes there and pairs a mid fifties guy with a seventeen year old boy. She's already pretty well known for her older male characters (who I absolutely adore the way they're drawn, seriously we need more hot older guys, there's more than enough 15 to 20-something bishies), but this is not only her largest age gap, it's the largest age gap I've seen in a short story that isn't just full on shota fetish porn (with a fat old rapist dude usually no less). She actually has a story woven in there and made me feel for the characters. She also did another story with a 30's (maybe early 40's? I think it was mid 30's though) photographer and a young 16 or 17 year old teen who ran away from an abusive home and lives with the photographer and his baby daughter.
The titles are "You At The New Moon" and "New Moon Gloom" for the two oneshots dealing with the mid fifties guy and the 17 year old. The other two titles are "In The Sun" and "Midnight Sun". Another oneshot I love by her (I absolutely love how many disabled characters she still presents as sexy and desirable, I have never seen any other mangaka do that) is "Not Loved" (the title is disengenuous, it is a really, really sweet story).
I'm blathering on but yeah woohoo for age differences, I'll gladly take that to the extreme. :P I still need to know what the titles of the animes in your secret are though secret!OP.

(Anonymous) 2016-03-05 02:07 am (UTC)(link)I dunno if I want to read "twisted" stuff about disabled characters. ^^; If you can point to some of the good, non-creepy stuff I'll definitely give it a try though. I'm actually particularly interested in if there is any hetero stuff with disabled female or male characters. I feel like the only place I've ever, ever seen someone tackle these "tropes" in a way that isn't 100% fetish porn is Naono Bohra. I would love, love to find more, and like I said I'd really love to see het romance taken seriously and not fetishy stuff. :)

(Anonymous) 2016-03-05 02:49 am (UTC)(link)The one in the right is Shonen Maid, but this one isn't a love story. It's about a boy who goes to live with his uncle after his mother dies and and cute shenanigans ensue.
I'll definitely check out those recs, sound great!
Have some of my favorite age difference manga:
-Hidoi Otoko, a high schooler and a 35 year man (This is definitely a guilty pleasure and I probably wouldn't like it if it wasn't for the age gap)
-Kizuna, I absolutely adore the beta couple in this, Masa and Kai ( they have a 18 year age gap btw). They love each other so much, they have know each other since forever and were each other's most important person even before their feelings shifted to romantic love. One of my favorite couples EVER.
-Ore Ni Koi Shite Dousunda, a guy falls in love with his uncle. This one actually sucks because the author dropped it and it's a shame because I liked it a lot.
-Yuutsu na Asa, 11 year old gap between the main character and his butler.
-Hana wa Saku Ka, 38-year-old salaryman meets a college student.
-Tokyo Babylon
-The second chapter of Kuma to Interi.
