I think it depends on what's being reacted to. There's things where "that ain't right" is the obvious answer. For example nobody should have to explain why it's fucked up to say that this or that group of people aren't human or don't deserve to live, or telling someone they should end their life is a bad thing to do to someone.

But their are situations where someone comes in and says "ew" to something totally innocuous or something they disagree with, and act as if their reason should be obvious when we have no way of knowing what or why or what the hell's going on in their head.

In the latter case I just roll my eyes and move on.
