As far as traditional bubble teas go I also like rose, but regular old milk tea is nostalgic for me, as is taro.

The best place for bubble tea around here opened about ...17 years ago? And it makes sweet/sour syrups (things like lemon, lime, lychee, strawberry, watermelon, guava etc.) as well as the creamy versions. You can make your own combinations, and it's completely awesome.

Regular old milk tea is my standby, but I also like honeydew and taro.

I will happily take a taro oreo, but no balls or jellies. I have this irrational fear I'm going to inhale one, or it'll get lodged in my throat and I'll still suffocate.

Also, weird texture.

Yeah, I don't like those things either for similar reasons. They're pretty flavorless too, imo.

I have an obsession with lemon tea. I get lemon black tea with pearls in it. Preferably with half-sugar, but that depends on which store. Some stores their sugar content is far higher so even half-sugar in so sweet I have to mix in a third of a bottle of water.

My go-to store is Gon-Cha, which has nice mild tea at half-sugar, and a lemon flavouring that seems to have small bits of lemon peel in it.
