It's a stupid worthless term that carries the connotation of the partner cheated on being at fault for being so weak that their partner would cheat on them.

Honestly it has no place in a halfway-sentient society.

It actually implies having the child of the man they're cheating with without the husband knowing... and I'd say that in such a case it would still work as an expression.

Let me rephrase: the people who get upset over the idea of cuckolding, even as a fantasy or kink, are insecure guys who know they can't satisfy their partners, even if their partners have no desire to actually cheat.
