Toothpaste, when washed into your eyes, burns every bit as bad as shampoo or soap.

This just made me think of that home remedy of putting toothpaste on pimples to make them go down. Does that actually work?

Yep, you put the toothpaste on overnight, in the morning scrub it off with antibacterial soap and hot water, and then in a week or so your pimple will have gone.

Short version...I let my niece (6 years old) 'do my hair'... I'm...not entirely sure what she thought the toothpaste would accomplish. But washing it out led to that discovery.

I've never got a large gob of toothpaste in my eye or anything, but I HAVE almost poked myself in the eye with my toothbrush.

Don't ask me how, because I wonder as well.

I've done it before, I brush my teeth in the shower and some flicked off the bristles and right into my eye.

It was the most intense minty fresh burning feeling I've ever experienced in my life.

I actually did this yesterday, I had somehow gotten some on my hand and then rubbed my eye. It was so, so painful.
