Yeah, their loan load is really light. Welcome to the new normal btw. Entry pay for graduates, even business professionals, is getting lower, advancement getting slower, student loan costs are rising far out of line of inflation, but not as far ahead of inflation as rent or/and property costs. The OP is on the luckier side of that student loan/food curve there. Not that it probably feels like it to them.

In terms of return on investment, it sounds like you'd do better these days to go to tech/trade school.

Tens years ago you should have gone to trade/tech school. If you go to one now you'll be graduating just as that market saturates too.
