Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-06 10:29 pm (UTC)(link)p.s. don't move the goalposts, this thread is a theoretical decision between Trump and Cruz. i assure you most of us will not be voting for either of them in November
lol away about your misplaced superiority though

(Anonymous) 2016-03-06 10:35 pm (UTC)(link)Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-06 10:39 pm (UTC)(link)nobody is trying to scare you, we are voicing opinions on whether we would prefer cruz or trump and our reasons for believing the way we do
people can disagree with you without being ill informed - you are the first to throw that accusation out and it's condescending in exactly the same way that it's condescending when dems say that republicans are just too ill informed to vote in their own interests
arguments against your arguments are not threats, maybe you aren't ready to discuss politics yourself

Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:04 am (UTC)(link)Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:09 am (UTC)(link)"What has Cruz said that's even come close to banning Muslims or creating a Muslim data base? If these things were said by anyone else people would shit, but somehow Trump gets a pass. Just for the lolz hahaha goddamn you people deserve [Trump]...."
and
"Cruz's wife recently said that if Cruz got into office, America would "know the face of God"
p.s. don't move the goalposts, this thread is a theoretical decision between Trump and Cruz. i assure you most of us will not be voting for either of them in November"
continue or do not, but the thread has a topic
Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:15 am (UTC)(link)Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:19 am (UTC)(link)1) know the face of God coupled with the dominionism as context leans hard toward horrifying. more so when you add in the fact that cruz is seasoned, albeit hated, politician that has forced the government to bow to him before, albeit temporarily through shutdowns
2) trump is spewing horrific bullshit but there is no evidence at all that he will follow through on it or that he is even capable of following through on it because he has no idea what he is doing or what is within the bounds of constitutional law
3) you seem to be under the impression that everyone is laughing trump off as a blowhard because we don't know better and haven't given any thought to how it would play out in practice, and that is not the case

(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:52 am (UTC)(link)Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:37 am (UTC)(link)1. Yeah maybe, but that's more assumptions and lol at the godly throne of government shutdown.
2. And there's no evidence that he won't because he's an unknown quantity. He's never had that power before, but he has tried to use the law to crush people's lives, so we'll see. The law is the law, but he has popular backing.
3. But you are still laughing him off as a blowhard. I'm just betting against that.
Re: politics
(Anonymous) 2016-03-07 12:48 am (UTC)(link)i believe he is a blowhard, there is evidence in his entire life history pointing to the fact that he is one, but i am not 'laughing him off' as a candidate with so many people genuinely backing him. he is a blowhard but he is saying things certain people want to hear. however, the fact is that he can claim a lot and say a lot, but there is little of his promises he can keep from t he white house, if you consider him as a serious candidate. he can be both at the same time
