"Know the face of God" is vague fucking religious bullshit that could be interpreted a million different ways from innocuous to horrifying so I literally do not care because everyone right of Bernie says shit about God now. technically, you did when you implied we deserve trump. obviously almost nobody in this thread is truly backing trump for president and that is a moving of goalposts between the question "who is better if you had to choose" and "who do you want for president"

1) know the face of God coupled with the dominionism as context leans hard toward horrifying. more so when you add in the fact that cruz is seasoned, albeit hated, politician that has forced the government to bow to him before, albeit temporarily through shutdowns

2) trump is spewing horrific bullshit but there is no evidence at all that he will follow through on it or that he is even capable of following through on it because he has no idea what he is doing or what is within the bounds of constitutional law

3) you seem to be under the impression that everyone is laughing trump off as a blowhard because we don't know better and haven't given any thought to how it would play out in practice, and that is not the case

4) and here's a new argument if you want even more, under Trump the uncontrollable, the GOP would break apart and be forced to reform itself as something new. under cruz it would most likely stick together but head even further to the right

No, I never said anyone was voting for trump and there are myriad reasons you all could deserve him. Nice assumptions though.

1. Yeah maybe, but that's more assumptions and lol at the godly throne of government shutdown.

2. And there's no evidence that he won't because he's an unknown quantity. He's never had that power before, but he has tried to use the law to crush people's lives, so we'll see. The law is the law, but he has popular backing.

at this point everything is assumptions because like everyone including yourself keeps saying trump is an unknown quantity. in the end it boils down to which you'd prefer, the known, proven, right-in-the-record superconservative tea partier, or the unknown who has exaggerated literally everything to this point, leading it to not be delusional that he is currently still doing so

i believe he is a blowhard, there is evidence in his entire life history pointing to the fact that he is one, but i am not 'laughing him off' as a candidate with so many people genuinely backing him. he is a blowhard but he is saying things certain people want to hear. however, the fact is that he can claim a lot and say a lot, but there is little of his promises he can keep from t he white house, if you consider him as a serious candidate. he can be both at the same time
