I also think some of the teens who are demisexual today are the same as the ones who would be "I'm bi, but I only date guys" ten years ago. There's no reason to give them any shit about it, it's not really hurting anything.

Even impure thots make you dirty-bad-wrong.
Believe me. I know some escapees from this culture and they make mainstream Catholic teaching on sexuality look like a how-to guide for Saturday Night at the Orgies.
The problem is that, in the U.S. at least, certain geographic locations are just so doused in purity culture that even if you are not a Fundy it's so part of your local gestalt you can't hope to avoid it.
