That's pretty funny, yay for fandom jokes.

I don't get the opinion that she's attractive though. I think she looks really dull and forgettable as Tauriel, tbh. I don't think the look is flattering or pretty. I'm not saying she's ugly, or that the character should have been prettier. I just found the look almost as dull as the character herself.

I... don't understand how this is a weird or 'needs to be taken in context' prank? "I decorated someone's work area with pictures of a character they find attractive." It's not like you made a life-sized replica of her out of deli meat and left it in his car.

In college I had a bobblehead toy of the black cat from Trigun.

Every time the room door would be open and this one girl who lived in my dorm would walk by she felt the need to comment on ewww how creepy that cat was. Eww, how creepy.

After a month of this I talked to her roommate and while she was in class her roommate let me into their room and I covered the whole thing in printed pictures of that black cat.

She never commented on how creepy the bobblehead was again.

I thought that a student teasing their elderly teacher about a celebrity crush would have more of a knee jerk reaction against it.

OP, I think people commenting here are just being dumb. It is "weird". It's not bad, and I think it's funny, but I think normal people (i.e. non-fandom) would be kind of wtf.
