nayrt but where I live, when it's literally -40 degrees, your house doesn't get all that warm and yeah if someone had a vendetta against socks they'd have a pretty rough life.

I'd say fairly confidently that yes, people in cold climates probably are far more comfortable wearing socks.

I live in a warm climate, but I agree with you. Sock go on to act as a buffer between shoes and feet. The biggest detail pertaining to climate is that I only wear socks in winter, because in summer I wear sandals.
