Yeah I think mrs_don_draper's case was unique, but at the same time, it means something bad could go wrong. And what concerns me is I really didn't get a time frame for this. What it says on the sheet is:

"DO NOT spit or suck through a straw"

The only point of reference for time is that it's under the heading "Bleeding and Wound Care". I'm not sure at what point it stops being a wound.
