sorry? i was confused who elses opinion would matter when it comes to a wedding, which i assumed you were talking about since that was the example

and i suppose i live in a liberal metro area where i dont ever see women getting flack for wearing mens clothes or really whatever they want, so it didn't occur to me

Sorry if I came off as rude. But no, I was speaking more generally, where it's my experience that there's a limit to how much masculinity a woman can express without people making assumptions (usually because they've only ever seen lesbians and transmen look such a way). The dapper brides was just a jumping-off point.

do you live somewhere conservative? i'm from new york and it's pretty unthinkable that someone would assume you're a lesbian for wearing a suit or having short hair
